White teeth?

What is the best way to keep teeth white apart from not drinking coffee, coke, smoke and brush three times per day? Do genes have anything to do with natural coloration and is it the same for men and women? Do liquids like Simple White and bleeching help or hurt teeth?

White teeth?
bleaching actually hurts it. when dentists x-rayor put a special light to your teeth they can tell if you%26#039;ve used bleaching products. it damages your teeth and you also risk the chances of taking off the enamel. hence yellow teeth forever. yes genes can play a role but a small one. it has to do with your daily habits. some people are more cavity prone due to genetics. i would recommend baking soda and crushed up strawberries mixed with water. the natural acid from the strawberries whitens your teeth and baking soda does as well and it is safe because strawberries are made for eating naturally, and baking soda is in most tooth paste anyway. so mixing the two, which is what is recommended in some health books i%26#039;ve read, is supposed to work. it is the only safe way i know other than the things you%26#039;ve mentioned.
Reply:the simple white and stuff like that does help. it mainly uses like peroxide, not bleach. I would say that if you do have a problem, where you cannot get them the whitest you want with the stuff you can buy over the counter, you may want to ask your doctor. they do have professional cleaning with light and heavy duty peroxide gels to whiten your teeth quicker and better than the store bought products... but it is expensive. then you could always get your teeth capped, that would definitely whiten your teeth. (and also, some antibiotics and drugs you might have to take can make your teeth color change as well)
Reply:I believe genetics do play a small role but it is mostly how well you look after your teeth.

I%26#039;ve tried %26quot;Simply White%26quot; and a 2-in-1 whitening colgate toothpaste, both worked to whiten me teeth and i havn%26#039;t noticed any change in enemal and my dentist agreed :-)
Reply:Nutrition. One way to check to see how well a horse has been fed and taken care of is by inspecting it%26#039;s teeth. This is also where the phrase, %26quot;Don%26#039;t look a gift horse in the mouth.%26quot; comes from.
