When someone has white teeth do you notice it and can a regular person get a Hollywood white smile like Paula Abdul does she have fake teeth

They're noticeable because most people don't have white, white teeth naturally, without some help. And a lot of actors have veneers, or porcelain placed on top of theirs.

Reply:yes they are, and it depends on good genes i guess as well as the stuff u eat/drink and whether or not u smoke (ofcourse there's bleaching, veneers etc, but that's another story)...i used to have super white teeth and i've gotten lotsa compliments, they were totally natural ofcourse... until i turned 20 and started drinking lotsa coffee...ppl still tell me i have nice teeth, but they're not as brighty whitey as they used to be...lol

lot of people have said to me my teeth are so white, and asked how i got it so white. whether i use Daz washing powder etc.





well basically i used to brush my teeth 3 times a day everyday.


first thing in morning


next was aroung 4pm


and then before i sleep.





I never ever been to dentist. rarley get tooth ache.


my teeth isnt perfect straight, but its fine, not too bad.





It helps if you dont smoke and drink - both which i dont do.

Reply:I always notice if a person has really white teeth. my grand daughter in Iraq used those crest white strips and her teeth are so beautiful and white. i just pray she makes it home with them.

I have crooked teeth so I'm going to go with the first option -- mine WERE white until a friend of mine got squirrelly and broke a few, and now they're white with some gold caps!

Remeber to be *very* careful about choosing your whitening products...some have abrasives, which erode the enamel to show the whiter dentin underneath. Problem is, dentin is soft, and enamel doesn't regenerate.

Why aren't my teeth white?

I don't drink coffee and I don't smoke. I brush 2-3 times a day (usually 3) with whitening tooth paste, but my teeth are still a dull beige-like color. By wisdom teeth even grew in that color. I've never tried whitening strips or anything, but I take really good care of my teeth. I know tons of people who have white teeth and they don't whiten theirs either.





I know I could be much worse off. It's not like my teeth are noticeably yellow or anything. I'm just wondering why they're not white.

but on he other hand some people see it as being totally OK to have yellow/discolured teeth.

Reply:I think having white teeth is important...It represents cleanliness. Those that have yellow teeth and say they dont care its because they have YELLOW teeth. Dont listen to them. Keep up with the bleaching!
Reply:I have fairly white teeth simply because I brush 2x a day... I don't get mine bleached because it's expensive but I'd like to. I think it's important to show that you take care of yourself and that you don't have smelly breath...
Reply:I think if you can tell that the person brushes their teeth, and there isnt always stuff stuck in there... Its totally fine. White teeth are prefered, but it doesnt really matter.

Reply:mine were yellowish from always taking medicine as a child and my parents bought me bleaching trays last christmas. i use them all the time. i LOVE white teeth, they're gorgeous and it shows good hygiene





sometimes people cant afford to get their teeth bleached, so they deal with what they have. as long as they brush regularly and floss i'm fine with it.

Reply:I think straight, white teeth add so much attractiveness to a person! Mine are naturally pretty white, but I still use whitesrips on them every now and then. Teeth are one of the first things I notice in other people, so I make sure mine look good.

White teeth in 2 months?

One of my friend works in a Call centers and he has a night shift. So he drinks a lot of coffee. His teeth have gone yellowish now (onlu 2 fronth teeth are bit white) and he wants them white before december (dunno the reason). He doesnt have time to go to a dentist and he hates them too.





Is there any home made remedy he can try ? He told me he brushes 2 times a day.

My baby has very nice white teeth, but on his white teeth he has "whiter" patches of white... anyone knows what causes this or if it'll go away??

White Spots on Babys Teeth/?
A number of factors can lead to the development of white spots on teeth. Sometimes these spots are caused by nutrition, genetics, or an excessive intake of fluoride, while other times they become evident after braces have been removed. Some children also develop white spots on their teeth as they are developing.





Usually white spots that appear on the teeth are actually areas of decalcified enamel and sometimes this problem can actually lead to the deterioration of teeth. Some dentists will tell you that the first evidence of tooth decay is a white spot lesion and by this description they mean that the tooth’s enamel has taken on an opaque color in the area where the cavity is beginning to form.





White spots on the teeth can appear after changes have occurred in the mineral content of a person’s teeth (which often happens childhood and leads to eventual deterioration of enamel if left untreated). White spots can also appear in connection with a condition called fluorosis, which is the result of having an excessive intake of fluoride. People who live in areas where drinking water contains a high fluoride level often encounter this problem.





White spot lesions are also commonly attributed to having braces. People with orthodontic braces often have trouble properly brushing their teeth and the result is a build-up of plaque. The acids in plaque can severely harm tooth enamel and eventually cause cavities. The first evidence of this type of tooth decay is the white decalcified enamel spot or lesion that becomes apparent when braces are removed.





White spots (or areas where enamel has become decalcified) can be extremely bothersome when braces are removed because usually the part of the tooth that has remained underneath the orthodontic bracket will remain protected from plaque, while bacteria continues to attack the area surrounding the brackets. This means that when braces are removed the teeth will appear stained by the brackets and small, square, discolored outlines will remain on teeth until they are treated.





Treatment options for white spots on teeth can include fluoride treatment, bonding and porcelain laminate placement depending on the severity of the problem.





Most people do not realize that sometimes having bright, white teeth isn’t necessarily a good thing. So, if you haven’t been brushing and flossing but you’ve noticed your teeth are getting whiter keep in mind you might be well on the way to decay.
