My teeth arent white?

my teeth arent white when i brush it gets yellow when i dont brush it stays white then when i scrach my tooth when its white it gets yellow should i just stop brushing r should i brush to c if it gets white my bro and sis have the whitest teeth

Its because when you brush your taking off what is called calculus which is build up of tartar and such (which is actually a yellowish color by the way), but ,may appear whitter than the actual color of your tooth due to stain or whatever.... you need to keep brushing and get regular cleanings every six months by a hygienist. If you want to whiten your teeth try crest white strips or even a toothpaste with baking soda.

maybe the white stuff is a build-up of plaque, and your teeth are yellow because you don't brush them.

Reply:Well definitely don't stop brushing your teeth. That might mean your not brushing enough if thats happening. But you could ask your dentist they might help you find some whitening strips. Or you could get whitening tooth paste and just brush alot!
