White teeth with household items?

Is it true that a person can get white teeth by using charcoal with baking soda as a paste? Or, lemon juice with cigarette ash?

White teeth with household items?
My dentist said mix salt, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide into a paste to not only whiten teeth but also to "scrub" off staining from tea and coffee, etc. I never heard of any of the methods you mentioned above.
Reply:NO
Reply:YOU'RE ASKING FOR TROUBLE....
Reply:You can brush with baking soda and rinse with a little hydrogen peroxide without swallowing.
Reply:baking soda w/ a little salt is all one needs. Forget the others.
Reply:i would say your best bet is to use baking soda. charcoal and cigarette ash will definitally not help cigarettes make your teeth yellow so why would your brush your teeth with it? salt works alright but dont do it too much only once in a blue moon. sure it whitens your teeth but it also takes alot of the good enamel on your teeth off. so in conclusion i would say use baking soda and somtimes salt (if you need to) i wouldent recomend salt if you have sensitive teeth. also i know you wanted a house hold idem that will make your teeth white but i think you should try crest vivid white tooth paste! it works great. or you could try crest white strips, which you just use in the morning and night for seven days and it makes your teeth so much whiter! sorry i had to make this such a long responce! for best results brush your teeth with some sort of whitenig tooth paste three times a day. morning after noon and night
